ASTRONOMY TIME!

CHECK OUT THE ASTRONOMY UNIT PAGES FOR THE LATEST UPDATES AND INFORMATION ON THE UPCOMING ASTRONOMY TEST!

So we’ve delved into my most favorite of subjects. . . . ASTRONOMY!!!  As a scientist, there is nothing cooler than looking with awe at the night sky of Western Colorado!  We’re so lucky to be able to see what people all over the world in big cities hope to see each night in our little valley!  For this unit, you will be observing and making note of the nightly sky to see how our Earth and Moon positions change, how planets “wander” by, and how seasons come and go.  We will take into consideration how big our solar system is, by learning how to make a scale model for relative distances in our solar system and we’ll even have a “Star Party” to see the stars come alive in our classroom!
