REMEMBER: ENERGY/ELECTRICITY TEST on Monday/Tuesday Dec. 13/14th
Be sure to review these 4 main ideas:
-
Forces: examples, balanced vs. unbalanced.
-
Energy: Potential vs. Kinetic; Forms of Energy (heat, light, sound); Energy Transfers (heat to light, chemical to motion, etc.); Energy Resources including renewable and non-renewable resources.
-
Electricity: Circuit types and how circuits work; how electricity is generated; electricity safety.
-
Technology: How our lives are impacted by new inventions in the world of physics.

Electricity Vocabulary!
Electricity: the flow of electrons. Electrons are part of the atom.
Charge: a build up of electrons.
Conductor: material that electricity goes through.
Insulator: material that stops the flow of electricity.
Circuit: a path for electricity to follow.
Series Circuit: a (single) path for electrons to flow in.
Parallel Circuit: two or more paths for electrons to flow in. (like 2 l’s in parallel)
Power: using electricity for a reason.
Kilowatt: a measurement of power or electricity. (unit)
Electricity Units: Amps (I), Watts (P), Volts (V) P= V x I
