Well we made it through our second week now with students looking at science through, hopefully, a new lens. We’ve discussed fact versus inference this week, and how it helps us to understand what sets science apart from normal everyday thinking. We began our first experiment to determine how to inflate a windbag with the most volume in the shortest amount of time. We used the steps of the scientific process to determine how we could solve our first experiment. Next week, we’ll be discussing the variables within the experiment and how those may or may not have effected our results and conclusions. Students did a great job working with their first collaborative teams!
